METHOD OF APPLYING WIRE ROPE GRIPS TO WIRE ROPE
A-1 The bulldog grips should be fitted to wire ropes, as shown in Fig. 1 and not as shown in Fig. 2 The bridge of the grip should invariably be fitted an the working part of the rope, and the U-bolt on the rope tail or dead end of the rope, Grips should not alternate in position on the rope.
A-2 It is recommended that the following minimum number of bulldog grips be fitted to each connection:
