A wire rope of a bigger size than shown in the table may not be cast to a Pear Socket, even if the "I" measure would allow so. The safe working load of pear Socket is based on the breaking load of steel wire rope of Warrington Seals construction, 6 x 36 wires, hemp core, divided by safety factor of 5.
